Long road to recovery for Forest Hill FMS victim
FOR seven years Bernadette Snopek suffered in silence with chronic pain and fatigue. Doctors suggested Snopek had Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) but she believed there was more to her illness than what her medical peers diagnosed.
Snopek’s background in science saw her examine the illness, discovering a theory that FMS is made up of two distinct disease families – neither of which can be easily diagnosed by a simple blood test.
